Leah Nobel has carved her own unique lane in the music industry.

Born with a passion for creativity, Leah's artistic journey began at a young age in Phoenix, Arizona. With an initial dream of becoming an actress, she begged her mother to enroll her in acting classes. She performed in choir and musical theatre productions throughout her youth and at the age of 13 was given a guitar as a birthday gift. Eagerly taking up lessons, that enthusiasm would later blossom into her own compositions, although it wasn't until after high school graduation that she penned her very first song.

Leah's music career began in the college town of Flagstaff, Arizona, where she frequently played in local coffee shops and bars while studying Broadcast Journalism at Northern Arizona University. After college, she moved to live music hub Austin, Texas, worked odd jobs, and started playing shows with a backing band on stages across the city.

In 2016, Leah caught the attention of Nashville-based Big Yellow Dog Music, leading to a transformative partnership. While staying true to her deeply personal and introspective style (eg: ‘Running and Borrowed Shoes’ and new album ‘Mother Tongue’) Leah also embraced the opportunity to explore different musical dimensions under alternative monikers.

Under the alias Hael, an alt-pop alter ego, Leah delved into a captivating "beat-centric" electronic sound. Hael's music quickly found its way into ad campaigns for brands like Apple, Motorola, Maserati, Starbucks, DSW, and Patrón and has had successful soundtrack placements on TV shows like Grey's Anatomy, Lucifer, and more.

Not one to be confined by a single persona, Leah also embraced her sense of humor and knack for writing infectious melodies through her alter ego, "Lil' Cheesecake." Through this playful persona, she shared her comedic musical stylings, earning placements in ad campaigns for Marshall's, Walmart, and spots in HBO's "The Sex Lives of College Girls" and Netflix's "Insatiable."

Drawing from her background in acting and improv comedy, Leah embraces artistic risks, sculpting the unique personas of her alter egos. However, when she assumes her true identity as Leah Nobel, her creative focus shifts towards crafting honest, vulnerable, and lyrically driven music. Her songs are carefully crafted with attention to detail, allowing the music to serve as a vessel for the emotional weight and authenticity of her storytelling.

In 2019, Nobel released a record called 'Running In Borrowed Shoes', an album adapted from 100 interviews with Real People.

Leah personally interviewed 100 people from diverse backgrounds and wrote songs based on stories and themes uncovered in her interviews. She considers the project to be a 'hybrid creative endeavor' one that combines journalism, empathy, and music. "I hope that the record is a highly relatable piece-- one that reminds us all of our shared humanity," says Leah.

In 2021 her original song ‘Beginning Middle End’ produced and co-written by Quinn Redmond was featured in the final film of the ‘To All The Boys’ trilogy on Netflix: ‘To All The Boys: Always and Forever’ and was released as the single on the soundtrack via Capital Records. In the week after the films release ‘Beginning Middle End’ was the #1 trending song on US Shazam charts and #2 globally. The song was nominated for Best Musical Moment at MTV's Movie & TV Awards. To date it has amassed over 75 million streams.

Her new album, ‘Mother Tongue’ is out now. It is available for download and stream on all platforms.
